Idle Hour Winery & Kitchen is more than a culinary destination — it's a heartfelt experience rooted in authenticity, craftsmanship, and connection to place. Tucked into the tranquil riverside setting of Oakhurst, California, just minutes from Yosemite's southern gate, our winery and Mediterranean-inspired restaurant embody a passion for food, wine, and warm hospitality.
Founded by winemaker Anna Marie dos Remedios and partner Deb Payne, Idle Hour is the first winery in Oakhurst, and it proudly carries the tradition of small-lot, single-vineyard wines made with native yeast fermentation, gravity flow racking, and sustainably grown grapes.
In the kitchen, our team creates seasonally rotating menus that highlight local, organic ingredients, hand-prepared dishes, and flavors inspired by the Mediterranean coast.
